I made it to Belize!

It has been a busy week! I spent a couple days in Guatemala City meeting with ministry contacts and picking up groceries for the Belize team.

Traveled with me from Guatemala City to Belmopan!

I then took an overnight bus to San Andres to visit another great ministry. It is a school in the jungle of Peten that offers education to 289 students, offering a promising future and hope to those who are in need. I spent most of the day talking to a missionary who has lived there for 13 years, teaching English and running the sponsorship program. It was a great day hearing her story and the history of the ministry.

I then visited the Island of Flores, which reminds me a lot of the Florida Keys.

My journey

I made it to Belmopan, Belize this afternoon! I’ve been going over details of ministry for next week and even got a little tour of the area. We will be running a preschool all week, helping prepare and serve food at a feeding program, door-to-door visits, and community outreach events in this community and one in a nearby village.  Please be praying for this week as the mission team comes here to serve–that we would be a blessing to the community and each grow closer to the Lord… and also have a good time 🙂
